Four Months Since the Overturning of Roe v. Wade, Ron Johnson Working to Further Restrict Wisconsinites’ Access to Reproductive Freedoms
MADISON, Wis. — It’s been four months since Roe v. Wade was overturned and Ron Johnson is still celebrating Wisconsinites losing their right to make their own medical decisions.
“Ron Johnson has spent his entire career working to strip away Wisconsinites’ reproductive freedoms,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Senate Communications Advisor Philip Shulman. “Johnson’s dangerous and out-of-touch priorities are exactly why Wisconsinites are going to vote him out of office in November.”
Here are the facts on Johnson’s Anti-Choice Record:
-
Johnson cosponsored eight national abortion bans, including one that made no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother.
-
Johnson called Roe v. Wade being overturned “a really good decision,” and bragged that he “confirmed the justices that handed down that correct decision.”
-
Johnson is so out of touch, he said Wisconsinites can move if they don’t like the abortion laws in their state, and that the repealing of Roe v. Wade might be a “little messy.”
