Tim Michels Calls for People To Take Up “Pitchforks and Torches” In Response To Fact-Based Reporting On His Radical Beliefs
MADISON, Wis. — Last week, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Republican candidate for governor Tim Michels used his personal foundation to fund extreme anti-LGBTQ and anti-abortion groups. Michels took to conservative talk radio the following day. He did not explain or refute his radical beliefs–instead Michels threatened violence against the media by calling for people to “be ready to get out on the streets with pitchforks and torches.”
“Wisconsinites want a governor who embraces unity, respect, and common-sense leadership. Governor Evers is laser focused on doing the right thing by lowering costs for Wisconsinites and funding education,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Hannah Menchhoff. “Michels instead has taken a leaf out of the former president’s playbook, embracing this type of destructive and violent politics that will only divide our communities.”
All across Wisconsin, people are hearing about Michels’ violent, divisive comments, highlighting just another reason that Tim Michels is radical and wrong for Wisconsin:
