Wisconsin Democrats on Ron DeSantis’ Visit to Lake Geneva

MADISON, Wis. — Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk released the following statement on Ron DeSantis holding a fundraiser in Lake Geneva today:

“Having passed a radical abortion ban in Florida, Ron DeSantis is running for president to pass a federal abortion ban nationwide. Wisconsinites are broadly opposed to DeSantis’ extreme MAGA agenda of taking away a woman’s freedom to make her own health care decisions.”

“All of the potential GOP Senate candidates in Wisconsin oppose legal abortion and would enable DeSantis to pass a national abortion ban, which is exactly why Wisconsin voters will reject their extremism next November, just as they did in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023.”
