Wisconsin Democrats on Charging of Former Trump Aides
“During a radio interview in 2017, Wisconsin Senate candidate Eric Hovde said that Native Americans have high alcoholism and depression rates because of their ‘quasi-socialist system’ of government.”
MADISON, Wis. — Today, Attorney General Josh Kaul filed felony charges against three former aides to the Trump campaign for their role in allegedly forging fake elector certificates as part of Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler issued the following statement:
“Respecting the results of free and fair elections is core to American democracy, a bedrock value that Trump and his associates have proven willing to violate at every turn. The charges brought by Attorney General Josh Kaul today represent an important step in holding accountable those who aided and abetted Trump’s attack on our democracy in Wisconsin after voters rejected Trump in 2020. We look forward to delivering further accountability to convicted felon Donald Trump and his MAGA underlings at the ballot box this November.”
