Wisconsin Democrats on the Two-Year Anniversary of the CHIPS and Science Act
MADISON, Wis. — On the second anniversary of President Biden signing the CHIPS and Science Act into law, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:
“America is a country of innovators, builders, and makers, and we’ve been on a tear ever since President Biden, Vice President Harris, Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Wisconsin Democrats delivered the CHIPS and Science Act. It was Senator Baldwin who worked to deliver Wisconsin’s designation as a regional tech hub, bringing in $49 million in investments home to our state to grow our economy and revolutionize biotech and health care as we know it. Meanwhile, Republican politicians like Bryan Steil sat on their hands, voting against bringing thousands of new jobs and billions in new private sector investments to their own districts. Democratic leaders like Harris, Biden, and Baldwin believe in America enough to invest in it, and those investments are already paying off in the Badger State.”
