Wisconsin Democrats’ Enthusiasm On Display at Delegation Breakfast on Opening Day of Democratic National Convention

MADISON, Wis. — This morning, Wisconsin Democrats excitedly gathered in Chicago to kick off the DNC. Wisconsin Democrats are all in to elect Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz—and have built the most formidable organizing operation the state has ever seen to get it done: Democrats have more than 160 full-time coordinated staffers on the ground knocking doors, making phone calls, and engaging their friends and neighbors to support Kamala Harris and Democrats up and down the ticket.

During today’s Wisconsin delegation breakfast, Governor Tim Walz addressed the Wisconsin delegation and built upon this momentum to rouse the delegation even further. The positive energy amongst the Wisconsin delegation in Chicago is palpable and stems directly from the energy on the ground across Wisconsin.

Governor Tony Evers also addressed the delegation breakfast, adding:

“Wisconsinites are going to pick Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they believe in a better future. They believe in bringing people together, instead of ripping communities apart. They believe in people who want better for all of us, not people who only look out for themselves. Folks, I know we’re going to get this done. The path to the White House runs straight through Wisconsin—we’re not taking anything for granted.”

Wisconsinites know that Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will fight for them in Washington and will tirelessly work to ensure that Wisconsinites get a fair shake, and Democratic enthusiasm at today’s breakfast and on the ground across the Badger state reflects how ready Wisconsinites are to move Wisconsin forward this November.
