Wisconsin Democrats Celebrate Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz in Milwaukee and Chicago
MADISON, Wis. — As Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz rallied with supporters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Democratic Delegates gathered in Chicago to hold a celebratory roll call of Vice President Kamala Harris’ nomination as President of the United States. Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler issued the following statement:
“Tonight is proof once again that the road to the White House runs through the Midwest and straight through Wisconsin, with Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz rallying in Milwaukee as we gather in Chicago to celebrate this historic nomination. Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are running to build a brighter, more free, and more hopeful future, with a strong middle class and an economy that works for everyone.
“The Harris-Walz vision for America echoed from Chicago to Milwaukee and across the country tonight, from Wisconsin’s own DNC Secretary Jason Rae, to the court of our world champion Milwaukee Bucks. As Barack and Michelle Obama and future First Gentleman Doug Emhoff shared with us tonight, our nominees have a forward-thinking vision to share with voters—a bold vision where our freedoms are protected and Wisconsinites can thrive. The Harris-Walz message stands in stark contrast to the Republican platform of doom and divisiveness that filled the awkward silences inside the Fiserv Forum during the RNC.
“Wisconsin Democrats couldn’t be happier to welcome Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz back to the Badger State, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this historic ticket in Chicago tonight.”
