MADISON, Wis. — Last night, Congressman Tom Tiffany voted to politicize our military and hijack the typically bipartisan National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to pass his anti-abortion, partisan agenda.
Tiffany voted to make it harder for women serving in the military to get abortion care, threatening to cut off funding to our nation’s troops if his radical, anti-freedom amendment didn’t pass. He also sided with Russia by voting to strip all U.S. funding from Ukraine.
“Tom Tiffany’s votes last night show that he’s willing to play dangerous games with our national security in order to enact his radical, anti-freedom agenda. His partisan extremism puts our troops and their freedoms at risk and is out of step with Wisconsin values,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk.
