So Long, Wisconsin! Hovde Skips Town and Heads to California for Orange County Fundraiser
MADISON, Wis. — Today, California bank owner Eric Hovde ditched Wisconsin for his home state once again, this time heading back to Orange County for a fundraiser. Former president Donald Trump is appearing in La Crosse today, but even the former president couldn’t keep Hovde away from his private beach in California.
This isn’t the first time Hovde has been caught skipping town for California. In June, Hovde ditched a campaign event in Oconto County, Wisconsin to sit on the beach at his $7 million mansion in Laguna Beach, California. Hovde has also been named one of Orange County’s most influential people three years in a row.
“Maybe if Eric Hovde stopped ditching Wisconsin for his $7 million Laguna Beach mansion, he wouldn’t have to defend his California ties to Wisconsin voters,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk said.
