REMINDER: Eric Hovde Bashed Bipartisan Border Deal as “Crazy Ass” And “Rotten”
MADISON, Wis. — As the Senate votes today on the border deal to protect national security and curb the flow of fentanyl into the country, Eric Hovde continues to oppose the bipartisan deal. He’s doubled down on his opposition to the bill and called it “crazy ass” and “rotten.”
The bill, supported by the Border Patrol Union, would strengthen border security by increasing the number of customs and border protection officers and expanding drug screening technology at the border.
“Securing the border and curbing the flow of fentanyl into our country may sound like a ‘crazy ass’ and ‘rotten’ idea to Eric Hovde, but there’s nothing rotten about this bill for the Wisconsinites concerned about the over 1,400 people we lost to fentanyl overdoses in 2022,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk.
