Eric Hovde Would Let States Ban Certain Forms of Contraception
MADISON, Wis. — Today, the U.S. Senate will vote on the Right to Contraception Act, a Tammy Baldwin-backed bill which would protect the right of women across the country to access contraception. Meanwhile, Eric Hovde would let states ban certain forms of contraception and refuses to protect Wisconsinites’ reproductive freedoms.

Hovde has supported and still supports the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which led to women across the country facing a horrific landscape of laws stripping away reproductive rights, including the 1849 abortion ban that immediately went into effect in Wisconsin.

Hovde refuses to protect reproductive freedom, instead supporting an abortion ban and letting states further restrict access to reproductive healthcare like contraception, as they are already doing.
“Eric Hovde would be a vote to ban abortion and would allow states to restrict access to certain forms of contraception. Tammy Baldwin will always stand up for the freedom of Wisconsin women to make their own health care decisions,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk.
