Eric Hovde: Invited to Schmooze With Billionaires and Fellow Megadonors in Florida

MADISON, Wis. — New reporting from Puck News found that California bank owner Eric Hovde (R–Laguna Beach) was invited to a Florida conference for billionaires, hedge fund managers, and other GOP megadonors, including Ken Griffin, one of the largest backers of Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley’s presidential campaigns.

This comes after Hovde was caught in Orange County, California on the day the NRSC announced his Senate campaign, where he was at a party for his $2.8 billion bank throwing money into the air and photoshopping his face onto the poster for the movie “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.”

“When Eric Hovde isn’t partying it up in California, he’s getting invited to fly to Florida to meet with billionaires who want to bankroll his campaign. The corporate billionaire and hedge fund managers back Hovde because he wants to go to the Senate to fight for them, not for working Wisconsinites,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk.
