Cha-Ching! Hovde Receives Check From Foreign Depositors Who Thank Him for Keeping Them Hidden
MADISON, Wis. — Today, a check from the foreign banks and governments that prop up Eric Hovde’s bank was dropped off at the Hovde building to represent the millions of dollars they deposit into Hovde’s California bank.

Recent news reports have revealed that foreign banks and governments have filled Hovde’s bank with millions of dollars in deposits, which Hovde’s bank recently confirmed last week they are still doing. Hovde’s bank doing business with these foreign governments and banks raises serious concerns about what special influence foreign countries will have over Eric Hovde if he is elected to the US Senate.
Hovde also plans to continue owning and profiting from his $3 billion California bank if elected to the U.S. Senate, meaning he would be able to influence banking policy to benefit himself and his bank, and even be able to direct taxpayer dollars to a bailout of his own bank.
“Eric Hovde is a walking conflict of interest who can’t be trusted to fight for anyone but his California bank and his own bottom line. So it’s no surprise that the secret foreign governments and banks that are depositing their money in his bank had a check dropped off at the Hovde building to thank him for keeping them hidden,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Arik Wolk. “But Wisconsinites deserve to know which foreign governments and banks are depositing money into Hovde’s business, and how we’re supposed to trust him to fight for Wisconsin families, not to line his own pockets.”
