BREAKING: Another Extreme Anti-Abortion Group That Wants to Ban Abortion Backs Brad Schimel

MADISON, Wis. — Anti-abortion warrior Brad Schimel is once again proving he’s too extreme for Wisconsin. Today, the national group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America announced it would be going all-out to elect Brad Schimel to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is an extreme anti-abortion group that wants to “end abortion” entirely in the United States, to ban abortion even in cases of rape and incest, and even pushed to keep Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban in place. 

This comes on the heels of Schimel’s support from Pro-Life Wisconsin, one of Wisconsin’s leading anti-abortion groups that similarly wants to ban all abortions without exception, restrict access to birth control, ban IVF, and only endorses candidates who hold a “no-exceptions pro-life position.”

“With stringent anti-abortion activists in his corner, Brad Schimel can’t hide from his record of fighting to take away fundamental freedoms and his repeated support for Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Deputy Communications Director Haley McCoy. “Schimel has made his position crystal clear: that there’s nothing flawed about Wisconsin’s archaic abortion ban and that he doesn’t think there is a constitutional right to abortion in Wisconsin. If Schimel makes it to the Supreme Court, Wisconsinites can be certain he will do everything in his power to uphold the 1849 law and ban abortion across our state.”
