Speaker Robin Vos: Call a special session and immediately pass Governor Evers’ legislation to combat police violence
In the wake of Jacob Blake’s shooting, Governor Evers has signed an executive order calling for a Special Session of the Assembly to pass police accountability and transparency legislation. Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is refusing to act. The legislation that Governor Evers has proposed would:
- Prohibit chokeholds
- Prohibit no-knock warrants
- Create statewide use of force standards
- Expand de-escalation training programs
Sign this petition and demand that Speaker Vos act urgently to address police violence against Black communities in Wisconsin!
