Juneteenth should be a Federal Holiday!

Democrats in Congress are moving toward making Juneteenth a federal holiday. Add your voice to the growing call that this important day be properly commemorated.

The Emancipation Proclamation was issued in 1862. But it wouldn’t be until 3 years later when the last group of enslaved people found out they were free.

That date – June 19th, 1865 – is known as Juneteenth.
