Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate honoring Veterans Day 2014.
“Today we salute the American men and women who have dedicated their lives to securing freedom and democracy. At this moment, we reflect on their honor and great sacrifice in defending their nation.
“Our brave veterans left their friends, family, and loved ones behind to put their lives on the line to defend the United States of America. They have sacrificed more than any civilian can understand.
“With women and men still risking their lives overseas, we must commit to giving them the care, support, and reverence they deserve as they return from battle.”
