Scott Walker’s much-touted plans for an income tax cut would mostly benefit the richest 20 percent of Wisconsinites.

“While Republicans like Paul Ryan are fighting tooth-and-nail to preserve tax breaks for the richest Americans at the expense of the economic security of the middle class, Scott Walker is dreaming up new giveaways for the richest among us at the expense of the economic security of Wisconsin’s middle class,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Monday.
“Not only is Scott Walker’s income tax scheme deemed useless as a way to fix the dismal economy he’s created here, we now learn what we long suspected — that it is the richest who will benefit most.”
