Addressing Tea Party supporters at the Republican National Convention in Tampa earlier this afternoon, Sean Duffy proclaimed his support for the Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan “dream ticket.”
Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate released the following statement:
“Sean Duffy says a vote for Romney-Ryan is a vote for a ‘dream ticket.’
“But Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan’s plan to turn Medicare into an unsustainable voucher system, ending the guarantee of benefits for our seniors and increasing their out-of-pocket expenses by $6,400 per year, is more of a nightmare.
“With his support for the Romney-Ryan budget that raises health care costs for seniors to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, Duffy continues to show how completely out-of-touch he is with the people of Wisconsin and their values.
“But what else do we expect from a guy who “struggles” on his $174,000 a year Congressional salary, and compares the purchase of vital health care coverage to shopping for garden equipment?”
