Founders Day 2012 To Feature Democratic Candidates United for Wisconsin’s Future

Apr 22, 2012

Just days from the primary vote, all the candidates vying to replace Scott Walker are expected to address the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s 2012 Founders Day Gala April 28 at the Milwaukee Athletic Club.

Additionally, this year’s keynote speaker will be Illinois Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. Rep. Schakowsky, who serves as co-chair of the Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues in the House of Representatives, is a leader in the ongoing fight against the Republican “War on Women.”

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Media is required to RSVP and sign-in at the event; email julieb@wisdems.org to RSVP.

Tickets for every income level can be reserved online at www.wisdems.org/founders or by calling (608) 260-2429.

“This year’s Founder’s Day will take place in the shadow of the Great Recall Movement, as Democrats unite to stop the attacks on Wisconsin by Scott Walker and his Tea Party extremists,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said. “Our party has rarely stood stronger or more united than in the face of this historic opportunity.”
