Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following today’s reports that Wisconsin added public and private sector jobs in February.
“Today’s employment numbers that show Wisconsin added both public and private sector jobs in February are encouraging, even though we still have a very long way to go in recovering the job losses of the past year.
“As the economy continues to improve nationally and employers begin to hire here in Wisconsin, it is now more important than ever that we arm jobseekers with the skills and educational background employers are seeking. I urge Scott Walker and his Republican Party to restore their cuts to our technical colleges so that Wisconsin can continue to compete in our 21st century economy.”
