News is breaking that Sean Duffy, who said that he “struggles” on his $174,000 annual Congressional salary, spent $225,000 in taxpayer dollars to send out unsolicited pieces of mail as he clings to his seat.
“Sean Duffy says he can’t make ends meet on $174,000 per year. This must explain why it’s no big deal for him to waste $225,000 in taxpayer dollars trying to justify a record that has seen him vote to kill Medicare, give tax breaks to billionaires and side with out-of-state corporations who have their hands around the necks of the real working people of Wisconsin’s north woods,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Friday. “Duffy’s not only out-of-touch with the people suffering to pay for tax cuts for his hedge fund buddies. Duffy is also a terrible hypocrite when it comes to wasteful spending.”
