Statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on Today’s Passage of the Veterans Section of the American Jobs Act

Nov 09, 2011

MADISON – Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on today’s passage of the veterans section of President Obama’s American Jobs Act:

“Today, President Obama’s section of the American Jobs Act focused on getting our courageous veterans back to work passed the Senate. Not only is this section of the jobs act completely paid for, it honors those who have put the ultimate sacrifice on the line for their country. Ensuring they have family supporting jobs to return to is the least we can do to show our gratitude for their sacrifice. With veterans making up 10% of all Wisconsinites, and 32,840 Wisconsin service members deployed at some point to the Afghanistan and Iraq War Theaters, this bill will directly impact the lives of our friends and neighbors.”
