ICYMI: Paul Ryan's "Pay-to-Play" Tax Loopholes

Aug 22, 2011

MADISON-The author of the plan to end Medicare has also distinguished himself by promoting the very tax loopholes he decries publicly.

According to a report in the Huffington Post, which you can read here, Paul Ryan’s tax loopholes include giveaways for fraternity and sorority housing, as well as big breaks for major contributors, in true “pay-to-play” fashion.

“Not only does Paul Ryan believe that millionaires and billionaires should get massive tax cuts, financed by the end of Medicare, but he has also sought tax loopholes for those special interests that lined his pockets with campaign cash,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said. “Like his friend Jack Abramoff, Paul Ryan understands that in Washington, you have to pay to play.”
