MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following the Assembly action that seeks to implement voter suppression legislation in advance of expected July recall elections.
“The GOP’s mad dash to implement voter-suppression legislation before recall elections this summer exposes the rotten core of the movement. Changing election rules midstream is plainly unconstitutional, and exposes what this is really all about — protecting Scott Walker and the Republican majority so they can continue to pursue their extreme anti-worker, anti-family agenda.”
