MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on Memorial Day 2011.
“The chilly weather belies the summer to come and this is a weekend when many in Wisconsin will celebrate in leisure with friends and family. But there are still hundreds of thousands of American troops in harm’s way protecting our country. Their courage was forged by the example of the brave generations that came before them. Our freedom was bought by these men and women, so we should all take a moment this weekend to reflect on their noble sacrifice.”
