MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following revelations that Scott Walker’s budget adjustment includes $20 million in cuts to Wisconsin’s successful SeniorCare program:
“Scott Walker held a special session where he added more than $140 million to the state’s deficit without creating a single job. And he continues to advocate for tax cuts for corporations that ship jobs overseas and the richest one percent of Wisconsinites. Now we are seeing the specifics of who will bear the costs of Scott Walker’s warped priorities, and first among them are seniors.”
