GOP Lt Gov Candidate Ross Seeks Thousands
of Taxpayer Dollars for Campaign Car
MADISON – Looks like Superior Mayor Dave Ross wants to take taxpayers for a ride.
According to recent reports in the Superior Telegram, Ross is pushing a plan to pay himself $400 monthly in city funds for the use of his car-which should get plenty of mileage in his run for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor.
Ross currently is provided a car by the city. He’s claiming the handout will save taxpayers money.
“What it’s realy going to do is subsidize his partisan political campaign with thousands of dollars and that’s a road taxpayers shouldn’t have to travel,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chairman Mike Tate.
