DPW Chair Tate Names Maggie Brick
Executive Director

MADISON – Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate announced today that he will appoint Maggie Brick as the new Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, effective August 10, 2009. Outgoing Executive Director Jason Stephany will continue to serve the party as a consultant.

“The Democratic Party of Wisconsin has accomplished a great deal during Jason Stephany’s time as Executive Director,” said Tate. “Jason’s years of service to the party in a wide variety of positions have led to considerable success for Democrats statewide. I look forward to continuing our work together in this new role.”

Maggie Brick brings a wealth of campaign and communications experience to the position, most recently serving as Communications Director for Assembly Majority Leader Tom Nelson.

“Maggie Brick is an outstanding political talent in Wisconsin, and we are privileged to have her on the team,” said Tate. “I know Maggie will be a dynamic leader at the DPW as we build our efforts to protect Democratic majorities up and down the ticket.”

Madison native, Brick began her political career as a field organizer on local campaigns in Dane County. She has managed a number of legislative races around the state, working for both the Assembly and Senate campaign committees before taking on her position in the legislature earlier this year.
