Reports to: Coordinated Operations Director
Salary: $72,000, generous benefits package
Location: Madison or Milwaukee, WI
Start date: ASAP

The Opportunity: The Deputy Operations Director will be responsible for helping to oversee the operations infrastructure for a statewide coordinated campaign as our field operation scales up for the Senate and Gubernatorial race this fall. The ideal applicant works well in fast-paced environments, can effectively communicate within our team and across departments, and has organizing or operations experience. This position requires some flexible hours and eagerness to assist on any task. This is a termed position through the end of November 2022.  Access to reliable transportation is required for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Coordinated Operations Director with the logistics and administration by managing multiple projects including advance for our in-state surrogate program.
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure that all expenses across the organization are tracked and remain within budget.
  • Assist in the planning of a variety of events across the state of Wisconsin.
  • Travel to and coordinate with advance staff of various campaigns to work events and ensure the coordinated campaign’s needs are met.
  • Coordinate and oversee logistics for campaign events with the Director of Operations and various other departments.
  • Coordinate with the Communications and Digital departments for coverage of events.
  • Manage event ordering and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure that all offices and staffers consistently have required PPE
  • Address operations issues and needs from field staff in a timely manner

  • Focused on Creative Solutions – Has the ability to develop and execute creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with Campaign Finance Laws – Familiarity of federal and state campaign finance laws.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Previous experience working for a political, legislative, or nonprofit organization
  • Experience executing field campaign operations
